When the Sorto brothers first opened MasFajitas back in 1997, our goal was simple: share the family recipes with our friends in Caldwell, Texas. In no time, MasFajitas became known for having "más" of everything -- more flavor, more freshness, more options, and, of course, more love for the folks who visit. Today, not only are we as dedicated as ever to bringing our customers the best, but we've expanded to serve even more of Texas. So from our family to yours: Stop in for a bite and a drink, and we'll show you what we've been cooking up lately.

This restaurant is located in a strip center with plenty of seating and a full bar with 6 flats screens. Once seated, they bring complementary chips and salsa. Their red salsa is mildly spicy, but quite good and the chips are thin and crispy.
We got here at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and discovered the lunch menu goes til 4pm. We ordered a couple of jumbo frozen margaritas which were great values.
I had the lunch beef fajitas, which were perfectly cooked and very tender paired with their homemade flour tortillas. The chicken salad had plenty of pulled chicken. For the money, this place is worth stopping into, however, when they present you with the handheld device to pay, it does not list what you ordered, it merely gives you the final figure.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - 26217258May 1, 2024Updated review1 check-in
Went with a large group so expectations were managed. Reason for 3 vs 2 stars.,The service of 1 server for almost 30 people was better than expected. Most orders were a toss up on who had ordered them. He got help with entrees being delivered to the room we were in but otherwise mostly a 1 man show with at least 15 separate checks. The good news stops.
The food is barely just ok. Some people asked for chicken in their entrees and got beef. I tried a new dish with cheese enchiladas and a "sauce" that was just several large chunks of overcooked beef. Most dishes for us and others at our table had sat under a warmer of some kind so they could be served to the group in proximity. Cheese was almost liquified vs just melted. The pinto beans looked like canned baked beans out of the can but without the tomato sauce. Hard and not really hot.
Nothing again compels me to return.,
Wanted to like the place but not so much again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We're sorry to hear that you didn't have a great first time visit when you came by to try us out, Kristen. What you've described is certainly not the level of quality that we aim for, so know that we will be using your feedback to make adjustments on our end. If you're ever inclined to give us another try, we'd welcome the opportunity to impress you.
Sincerely,
The Management TeamSep 29, 2021Previous reviewFirst time customers after realtor suggested it. Very few patrons. Chips were the end of a bag - small broken pieces. Salsa was mostly seeds with no flavor.Everything else was unseasoned except for the saltness that comes from canned food. Fajita chicken tasted rubbery and prefab and carnitas were dry. No seasoning. Tortillas were not homemade and taco shells from a box.,Nothing seemed to be fresh. House Marguerita was a mix and was watery. Waiter was attentive.

Thought we would try something new, we stopped in about the time the UT game started. We were seated right away, and served our drinks, chips and salsa quickly!
We had a great booth, were able to watch the game comfortably on the bar TVs.
We ordered queso, chicken fajitas, and mad-guisada (cheese enchiladas with carne guisada on top). We asked for pico on the side, note it was an extra fee.
The fajitas had great flavor, good seasoning and great veggies. The rice and charro beans were good, and the tortillas fresh.
The guida was cooked well, good flavor, and paired wonderfully with the cheese enchiladas. The retired beans were my favorite, normally I add queso to beans for flavor, I didn't have to here.
All in all, great dinner, good service and nice atmosphere, we will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 18, 2024Updated review
Uh... 3 or 4 stars? Hard saying. I'd give it four because the menu is so big, but three is more reflective of the consistency of quality. I've been wowed a time or two, but my family has mostly left somewhat disappointed every time we visit. I wanna love it, but I just kinda like it instead.
There's definite room for improvement in the consistency of food quality. Maybe I've just gotten bad batches, because this place is always hopping, which means people like it. I think it should be better for the price, however.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0Apr 23, 2023Previous reviewI like the food here. Nothing to complain about, while it's nothing to write home about. The service isn't awesome... but it's not terrible, either. If I didn't live near here, I'd probably never cross town for it, but since it's nearby, it's a decent stop for dine-in Mexican food and TexMex.

This place is very much family style picture. Below are my pupusa's, which were delicious. The coleslaw was very spicy, but everything was tasty. My whole family had a big dinner there and it was very lively. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. Good for Groups

After moving here from California, (yes California, don't hate me) I've constantly ran across advertisements for this restaurant. In neighborhood flyers, coupons, everywhere I look. I just thought it was another "wannabe" Mexican restaurant, probably "Tex Mex", which I'm sorry, I have not been able to wrap my arms around.
We live in the outskirts of Georgetown, almost Leander, so I haven't had an opportunity to explore the city. So my wife met up with some friends here and she couldn't stop talking about the place. She claimed the food was great, they have lunch specials and it really packs a crowd.
So I ventured by one day and grabbed a lunch to go. Take out orders are taken at the bar. It was exactly 11:3am. While waiting I noticed people just streaming in 3, 4, 5 at a time. To me a popular restaurant says something.
I ordered the "Carnitas lunch", a nice chunk of marinated pork, roasted and served with beans, rice and tortillas. I be had lots of carnitas meals. Carnitas tacos, burritos, and Tortas (Latin sandwich). The carnitas meat was very good. Some time restaurants don't marinate it long enough, or season it properly, or buy a cheap grade with lots of fat. This plate had great flavor, chunks of onions were mixed in, and very little fat.
Wow! Man have I been missing out thinking this was just another Latin imposter. I can't wait to try other meals.
While waiting for my food, I over heard a server taking orders at a table. Top notch service. Friendly, alert, an honest display of concern. I like that.
This place hits my top 5 major restaurants mandates.
1. Good food with flavor
2. Good value for what I'm getting
3. Service that respects my experience
4. Clean. Atmosphere, restrooms and kitchen, if I'm able to get a peak.
5. Quality. Does the price match what I'm getting.
As much as I hate to say it, come on done to G-town and try out this family restaurant. BTW, they have other locations including Taylor, Round Rock, and Killeen. Check those out too.

As of 3/23/23 THEY HAVE NO MEXICAN BEER!!! The server says it's a conflict with their distributor. NO MEXICAN BEER at a Mexican food restaurant is like no tomato sauce at an Italian restaurant. C'mon. Enchiladas and Michelob Ultra doesn't exactly transport me to Cabo. I don't know if this is gamesmanship between the two sides (Like when ESPN says it won't be on DISH anymore during contact negotiations) but I'm voting with my wallet. There's a perfectly good Mexican restaurant across the street. AdÃos for now, Fajitas!

We appreciate your honest feedback and support, Joel! It's great to hear that you enjoy popping in for a bite to eat and a marg. Thank you for taking a minute to share your thoughts on our food and overall atmosphere! We hope to welcome you back again soon.
Take care,
The Management TeamFeb 10, 2021Previous reviewMas Fajitas is a well kept, usually busy still has quick service TexMex Restaurant. The food is pretty pedestrian but still flavorful. I usually have no reservations ducking in for a quick margarita and an a la carte dish or two. But they do have some really good combo plates and a wide variety to choose from on the menu. There's plenty of parking and plenty of space inside to distance safely. Quick. Easy. Not gourmet but good.

I've been here a few times now, and I just haven't found a dish I love. The service is good, so no complaints there. The crispy tacos were over greasy, and the enchiladas weren't great either. There are other options in Georgetown that serve my tastes better, so I'll be going there.

Food and service were both good, pretty much typical Tex-Mex food. We always order the Caldwell Special and it doesn't disappoint w/ a side crunchy taco ( for me ) Oh also the Queso Flameado is a meal by itself.
Not giving 5 stars only because I have had better Tex-Mex in Houston at the Spanish Flower and the original Mama Ninfa's.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jim F.Georgetown, TX1412177Dec 19, 2023
The only way to get a better deal is to get a good deal for a new one. You can't just buy a cheap taco. Always good. Goodbye
