Forest Family Dentistry & Orthodontics is a team of dental professionals dedicated to making dentistry healthier, more enjoyable, and more efficient. Our Round Rock location on Gattis School Road improves on our ability to deliver compassionate, conservative, high-technology proven dental care. We believe that dentistry should be more efficient and better (last longer, more comfort, better aesthetics). FFD Round Rock achieves this through modern techniques like digital x-rays, Itero scanner, and Invisalign orthodontic techniques for adults and teens. We also help our patients navigate the confusing and ever-changing dental insurance benefits provided by our community employers. We believe that patients will love our office designed and built sustainable by North Forest and decorated with the beautiful and beloved wood furniture of Sean Springer. We are so excited to work with our Round Rock and Pflugerville families and businesses.

Writing the review after my 5th general cleaning appointment with them. Everyone including the staff at the reception is professional. They do a good job of checking what is covered under insurance. The dental hygienists are well trained and I never had issues during cleaning. I usually ask for numbing gel which works great for me.
In one of the appointments (earlier this year), the doctor came after cleaning and said my filling is loose and needs fixing it. I was surprised to hear that as I never had a filling done. On telling that, she said oh then you need a filling due to a cavity. She also gave an estimate of how it will cost me.
I thought that was one of the instances, and I let it go. My wife had an appointment a week after. And the same thing happened with her. She also overheard a lady in front of her discussing a charge for a service she never received. I guess they were just running low on the business so all these tactics.
I wanted to give them another chance, and this time they just said you are due for filling but did not force it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Tanmay!
Thank you for the great photos, and for being a part of our team. I am Robin Bethell, the owner of FFD. I want to look into your account personally. I assure you, there are no tactics for upselling. Although, we have made charting mistakes, we always correct it. I’d love to know more about what you experienced. Would you be open to talking to me about it? My email is dentist@forestfamily.com. - Gabby G.Round Rock, TX17219May 27, 2023
I absolutely love this dental practice and recommend them every single chance I get on my neighborhood Facebook mom groups.
As a kid, I had negative experiences with my dentist. Going as I got older was a task I kept putting off. I really did my research and scoured reviews for days.
People raved about Dr. Darnell. I was able to get in and get a cleaning done, cavities filled, old cavities with the silver used- redone with the white stuff, & get imaging done so that we could get the ball rolling to get Invisalign. I got all of this done within a week. They were great with working with my availability. I had my 2nd baby a few months prior to finding them and had to go back to work soon. It's beyond convenient that they're open on Saturdays and they were good about being on time. Which was super important since I needed to nurse my newborn every 2-3 hours. They were so respectful of all my needs.
My Invisalign even came in 2-4 weeks earlier than projected so I didn't have to take time off of work to get them.
They were up front about any and all costs with any work needing to be done. They credited my $ back to my care credit account after my insurance paid them for their part of the Invisalign.
Their bedside manner has been amazing. They don't make their patients feel like they've totally neglected their mouth. Instead of condescending patients like other dental practices, they help educate you. It comes from a place of care and empathy instead of judgement.
The facility itself is very clean with state of the art equipment. Rooms have a TV on the ceiling so I can zone out to a show on Netflix. They've even given me a blanket because the rooms get a little chilly.
Now I look forward to getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months. My anxiety around the dentist is gone. I appreciate them more than I can explain.
Time to bring the rest of the family.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Paul N.Austin, TX2816Nov 21, 2023
I came in to get one of my crowns replaced (I had chipped it). KaShauna and Dr. Dubray were very communicative throughout the whole process, putting me at ease. After I got the new crown I made a follow up appointment because I was having tooth sensitivity a week afterwards. They told me that it might take a bit longer for the nerve to "calm down". I was a bit skeptical of that but decided to wait it out. Well, they were right. The pain went away totally in another week! Thanks, y'all!

Dr. Bethel and his team are outstanding! I had a crown that another dr in the office previously did and it broke. I was able to get in the day after I called. Everyone I encountered in the office was fantastic and helpful.
My tooth was patched up with a temporary and eventually a new crown. Dr. Bethel went above and beyond to make sure my new crown wouldn't break and that everything was comfortable.
I know most people don't enjoy going to the dentist, however at Forest Family Dentistry - it's at least a pleasurable experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob R.Austin, TX3925336Sep 17, 2023

I had my first appointment and cleaning today and was so happy and impressed with this office. I had a very bad experience at Leander Modern Dentistry, so I made an appointment with this office. It was also in my insurance network. The front desk staff was so nice and welcoming. The dentist was very upfront and honest, which was a breath of fresh air from my last experience at Leander Modern Dentistry. The hygienist, Quan, was amazing and gentle. They didn't try to take advantage or say I needed deep cleaning when I didn't. I got the cleaning that was covered by my insurance and was told I have 3 cavities that need to be filled. They even got me in next week to have it done and gave me the costs upfront. This place was amazing! I will have my husband and kids start going here as well. Highly recommend!

Made an appointment for myself and my teen about 5 weeks in advance. I was told they would send the paperwork via email so I can fill it out before arriving. They did, 2 hours before my appointment. Of course I was not available to complete it. They had 5 weeks! We were there for 2 hours just for a routine cleaning, of which was not even done completely. I saw that Robin, the "business owner" had responded to several reviews so I thought I would give him/her (the staff told me Robin is a male) a chance to rectify this. I called 3 times, leaving messages and sent a lengthy email. It's been a week with no response. They could care less.

Amazing place! Everyone is super friendly, the ambience is clean and open, and great service! Heck I even found out that what a previous dentist had told me about needing lots of extra dental work was untrue. What a relief! Now my whole family will be customers. Thanks Forest Family Dentistry!!

I have severe dental anxiety. I mean, severe! Dr. Dubray is the most patient dentist I have ever worked with. She takes time to make sure I am not losing my shit all the time, checks in with me, and Best of all, never makes me feel badly for having dental anxiety. I have been to way too many dentists in my life. I'm grateful for her kindness and professionalism.

I asked Forest family dentistry to be clear and upfront with what they are doing and how much it cost. On my third visit I walked into an outstanding $580 charge. I found out that this was for a cleaning. I spoke to my insurance company and they said this was extremely excessive and they would cover it. They recommended looking for a dentistry that addresses problems and does not try to charge the insurance company whatever they can. I let them know I did not ask for this and did not want it but they refused to remove or even adjust the amount. As a wounded and disabled veteran I will never be coming back to a place that shows this level of respect to its customers.

Samuel, I am sorry for the unexpected charge. I've personally looked into your accounts, and I see where insurance denied coverage. Our team will always go over costs with all our patients and discuss that insurance is only an estimate. We have no idea if benefits are used at another office, or if there is an exclusion to coverage that is not normal. Sometimes they will not cover a procedure, and honestly, they don't care if it's what you need or not. They are for profit, and profit only. We are here for your health, and will be honorable in our recommendations and treatment and won't do anything wihtout your informed consent. We want to take care of you, and are thankful to help you and veterans like yourself. I hope you work with me on this. Feel free to email me anytime: dentist@forestfamily.com.
