AV Connect

I always wanted a good home theater. We have a living room that we used as a TV room. I had some basic ideas, but equipment had evolved so much since I set up my own home theater; I wanted to work with an expert. In addition, I wasn't even sure if my living room could provide the quality of sound I wanted. After extensive googling and yelping, I came across AV Connect, who had a decent web site and good reviews. Nate Cake took my call, and discussed with me options and pricing.

I don't remember the timeline, but I believe he came out the next week for the design consultation, and went over all my options. In a couple more days I had my quote. I think we completed installation 2 weeks later. The installation crew were courteous and professional.

The home theater is awesome!

Then 1.5 years later, the AVR blew (under manufacturer warranty). I called AV Connect back up, and they picked it up and got it repaired for me! I didn't have to deal with the manufacturer or a repair shop or anything!

I will definitely use them again if I move, or when I'm ready for the next upgrade!

Nate Cake and company were very professional and extremely helpful in assisting us with selection of sound system options. The installation of all systems was done efficiently and perfectly. These guys know their business inside and out! Also we had a deadline for installation as we had out of town guests arriving shortly, so they completely altered their current schedule to accommodate us. Couldn't ask for better service.

Great work and no hassle. Provided quotes in writing; staff were friendly and professional; I was having remodeling done and they were flexible about the setup date and time for my TV and internet; They made communications easy by corresponding by text. I would recommend them highly to friends and family.

I used Travis and AV Connect when we first moved to Austin. He installed TV and sound system and was efficient and reasonably priced. He has worked for us several times since when we added a TV or updated components. He always responds and helps me trouble shoot or sends his guys out if we have a problem which is rare but it's been 9 years and we are very pleased. I have recommended him to all the people in our building and others, and would use him anytime I need audio visual work done.

We have used AV Connect a few times over the years to make various upgrades to our home system and have always been extremely pleased. Everything from the initial consultation with Nate, to the installation day with the team (Aron and Kieran and other great folks), has left us feeling very well-taken-care-of. The team always works diligently to ensure everything works as expected, working well into the night if needed! With this most recent work, we especially appreciated the fact that the team wore masks the entire time, given the current pandemic state. I am so disappointed in this company. I would give it zero stars if I could. It has such great reviews and ratings that I was really hoping this would be a good fit for us.

I have called them and left them 3 voicemails over the past month to inquire about their services and have them help us with some AV issues we've been having, and NEVER heard back from them.

Nate Cake, Audio Systems Engineer, has hooked up systems for us in our home and 3 separate apartments. He is conscientious, knowledgeable about many different systems and able to recommend products and installations in the best, most price-reasonable way possible. He shows up when he's supposed to and never disappoints.

AV Connect is terrific and really top tier. Go with them if you need expert help and a job well done.

Our experience with AV Connect began with Nate Cake coming to our new home and checking out our empty media room. All we had were wires in the walls. He showed me some options for speakers and gave suggestions at various price points.

Their team came out shortly thereafter and set us all up. We even had them hang our projector, which wasn't in the original plan, but since we had the necessary components they were able to fit that into their timeframe.

Thrilled to have them get us set up.

These guys are the best. For home or business. We use them for our business and they always answer the phone, go out of their way to assist us, and have helpful advice when things go wrong (which they do often with the one sound system we had some other guys install). I only wish we had them install BOTH our sound systems! Reasonably priced, great service. Call them.

Travis and his team are responsive, effective and quoted considerably less to install custom studio monitors in our offices on Bee Caves. Set up was not conventional; they were somewhat reluctant fearing we had unrealistic expectations. They suggested a competitor by name! AV Connect, came, delivered and left. I had to chase them down to thank and attempt to pay them in advance of a mailed invoice. They don't know how qualified, competent and competitively priced they are. Bravo!
