Affinity at Round Rock

My wife and I moved in from Florida in April of 2023 after having scouted Affinity last December. The last six months have been fantastic. Staff has been excellent and extremely accommodating and our new neighbors in the Affinity complex have been very welcoming and friendly. With so many activities generated either by our fellow residents or staff, it's like being on a cruise ship. Rent is very competitive when you consider it includes all of the usual extras(water, electricity, internet, cable TV, trash pick-up). NO NICKEL AND DIMING! Even maintenance is included. All this and a year round indoor pool to boot. Location is also ideal. Although, the complex is off the beaten path, we are still very close to shopping, restaurants, church, etc. Wish we could give it more than 5 stars!

The maintenance staff stole items from my garage to start with. The carpet is disgusting, seems like mold or fungus. Water leaks they never properly fixed. I had cancer during covid, lost my job and gratefully was able to use texas rent relief to cover my rent, they patiently waited for the money. I thought everything was fine. Come to find out they added hundreds of dollars of late fees once the relief money came to them. , using up the extra 2 months cushion the Texas rent relief afforded me. I'm underwhelmed by every employee that worked there. Sketchy people.

Terrible! Poor quality construction, lack of leadership, "active" community status is a joke, salt-water pool is a mere wading pool at 3-1/2 ft deep, Republican stronghold, 1 step before a nursing home.

I am a 2-year resident at Affinity Round Rock. Unfortunately, I just signed a two-year lease, but mostly because I absolutely love the friends I've made here.
now, I regret doing that, as they have rewritten their website and please understand the management, nor the corporation will lift a finger to help you acclimate or enjoy any of the amenities.
Note, the pool and hot tub are hardly ever in working order because it breaks down constantly due to the heating elements, the coffee machine is not built to service a large number of people and it is rarely working and you will get complaints from every resident if you ask.
do not for one moment, think you're going to have any of your concerns answered in a timely manner or hear back on any phone call you've made.
The manager is immature and does not know how to effectively encourage or guide community living.
We are now on our own having to fend for ourselves and I would make sure you have something going on outside of this place.
Most of us moved in here with an advertisement of Happy hours, wine tasting, cooking classes, holiday celebrations, military honors, which did take place in the very beginning. Do not be fooled by their tours.

This place is amazing. Every person i spoke to on my visit had nothing but nice things to say. This is making my decision pretty easy.
